Tariq Hassan, McDonald’s director of marketing and customer service in the United States, released a statement in response to the announcement.

“We’re taking one of the most nostalgic McDonald’s experiences and literally repackaging it in a new way that’s hyper-relevant for our adult fans,” he said.

The brand’s elusive origins have been a major draw for fans of the brand.
