Marc Chalamet is an American-French writer and editor currently working as an editor for the United Nations. To most people, he is famous as the father of Hollywood actor Timothée Chalamet, also famous for his role as Elio in the 2017 film Call Me by Your Name.

Born Marc-André Chalamet, Marc is currently an editor of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in New York City. He has been working there since November 2017. Prior to his current position, he was an editor of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and a Senior Editor at UNICEF. Since 2013, Marc has been living in the United States. He was marry to novelist and journalist Marie-Barbe Dumont in 1997, with whom he had one child, Timothée Chalamet, who became an actor.
