Marc Chalamet is an American-French writer and editor currently working as an editor for the United Nations. To most people, he is famous as the father of Hollywood actor Timothée Chalamet, also famous for his role as Elio in the 2017 film Call Me by Your Name.

Born Marc-André Chalamet, Marc is currently an editor of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in New York City. He has been working there since November 2017. Prior to his current position, he was an editor of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and a Senior Editor at UNICEF. In his career, he has written many books, such as “Trampling out the vintage” and “In the arms of Morpheus.” From these books, Marc has won “2016 Prix des Ambassadeurs” by Groupe CIFAS and “2016 Prix Fernand Vedel Prize” by Académie française. He also write a book in 2017 which title is “From Everywhere: The Story of Thomas Jefferson and Sally Hemings. He is also the author of three children’s books, including one titled “Where the Wild Things Are: A First Book of Stories.”

Since 2013, Marc has been living in the United States. He was marry to novelist and journalist Marie-Barbe Dumont in 1997, with whom he had one child, Timothée Chalamet, who became an actor. There have been rumors that Marc is Timothée’s biological father. When Marc was asked about Timothée’s biological father on “The Tonight Show” in 2016, he give the answer, “I don’t know who it is,” and said, “I’m not gonna dig that up. That’s for him [Timothée] to figure out.” Marc has previously denied these rumors on Twitter, saying: “I have never met my son’s biological father, nor am I aware of the identity of the individual.


Marc is marry to Marie Barbe Dumont and has a son, Timothée Chalamet, born on March 27, 1995. They live in New York City and Paris. Marc Chalamet has a height of 5 feet 10 inches (1.8 m) and a weight of 70 kg (154 pounds). His eye color is blue while his hair is brown. Marc has a slim body and carries a body measurement of 40-30-32 inches.

Marc Chalamet is the son of a lawyer who worked at the Burundian Embassy in France. He attended Collège Stanislas before moving to Paris for his high school years. He then studied at Institut d’études politiques de Paris, where he majored in History and graduated from the university with honors in 2008.

2011 saw Marc working as a Wall Street intern. He was appoint senior editor in 2012 by the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs of the United Nations (Ocha). In 2013, Marc became a member of “The United Nations Development Program’s” editorial staff (UNDP).

Since he was born in France, Marc Chalamet holds dual citizenship and is a French citizen.
In July 2016, Chalamet and his father work together on a short film called “Mark and Marc.” The film was shoot in Brooklyn, New York, and is about two men who help each other after their relationship ends. The trailer was release in October 2016.

Marc is also the executive editor of the book “Thug,” written by Joshuah Bearman.
Chalamet has written a number of articles in publications, including The New York Times and The Guardian.

In an interview with “The New York Times” in February 2019, Marc Chalamet announced that he was gay at the age of 28.

Marc is one of the opening acts for Miles Davis’s 80th birthday tribute concert, which took place at the Royal Albert Hall on November 27, 2018. He also work as an assistant editor on “Call Me by Your Name,” which was release in 201 7.

In 2015, he won the “Best Actor in a Short Film” at San Francisco Film Festival for his performance in “Seducer.”

In 2017, Marc received the Emerging Male Movie Star Award from the New England Film Festival.

For his work in “Call Me by Your Name,” he was nominate for the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role. For his work in “Pierrot Le Fou,” he was nominate for the European Film Awards 2018 as Male Shooting Star. Also, Marc won the Gold Derby Award.


Marc Chalamet has received many awards and nominations for his work. An accomplished director and producer, too. His performance in “Call Me by Your Name” is his most well-known role. His son Timothée Chalamet and he are collaborating on the film Fela.

MARC future job prospects appear to be bright. He is productively engage in a variety of initiatives. Along with being a director and producer, he appears to be a very accomplished actor.
